How to correctly declare the certificate of origin electronically for imports?
Since July 5, 2023, the China-New Zealand Origin Data Electronic Exchange System has been upgraded and launched to further facilitate compliant customs clearance of goods under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) and the China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement. The new system fully realizes electronic data transmission of origin certificates and origin declarations issued by New Zealand. Importers can apply for preferential tariff rates under RCEP or the China-New Zealand FTA based on New Zealands origin certificates without submitting origin certificate electronic data and direct transport rule commitments, nor uploading origin certificates electronically.
