In a series of recent announcements, the Turkish Ministry of Trade announced the initiation of anti - circumvention investigations on some Chinese products, indicating that Turkey is strengthening the enforcement of its anti - dumping laws. These investigations mainly involve plywood and vulcanized rubber conveyor belts exported from countries such as China, Vietnam and India to Turkey to examine whether there are acts of evading anti - dumping duties.

On February 24, 2006, Turkey first launched an anti - dumping investigation on Chinese plywood. On October 20, Turkey made a positive final ruling and began to levy anti - dumping duties.
